Jolina Magdangal returns to ABS-CBN

The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines – It's official: Jolina Magdangal will return to ABS-CBN to do a drama series with former on-screen partner Marvin Agustin.

Marvin and Jolina will be part of “Flordeliza,” which will be replacing the daytime drama “Be Careful With My Heart.”

Jolina reported to her first taping day for the upcoming show on Monday, according to a report aired on ABS-CBN's news program “TV Patrol.”

“I'm so happy. Kakaibang feeling,” the actress said in the TV interview. “Hanggang ngayon, parang di pa rin ako makapaniwala.”

“Flordeliza” will be directed by Wenn Deramas.

“Lahat nung mga di ko nagagawa dati, parang ipagagawa sa akin ni direk dito,” Jolina said.

A number of fans and netizens speculated last month that Jolina may be making a comeback to ABS-CBN. This is after Jolina, with husband Mark Escueta, attended the Star Magic Ball in September.

The project marks Jolina's first project with ABS-CBN in more than 10 years.

The actress, who started her showbiz career in the Kapamilya network, transferred to GMA-7 in 2002.

"Flordeliza" will also be Marvin and Jolina's first project together after being a popular TV and movie love team during the late 90s until the early 2000s.

The two headlined a number of projects together such as the movie “Hey Babe” and the TV show “Labs Ko si Babe” in 1999.

Marvin and Jolina did the daily series “I LUV NY (I Love New York)” with Mark Herras and Jennylyn Mercado in 2006 and "Iglot" in 2011 on GMA-7.
