Soprano, theater artists in Art 2 Art

MANILA, Philippines - Art 2 Art continues its mission of bringing usapang sining at kultura para sa lahat (art and culture discussion for all) as it wraps up October with episodes featuring an acclaimed soprano and theater artists holding a multi-arts festival.

Produced by the Manila Broadcasting Company and hosted by Lisa Macuja, Art 2 Art is aired Sundays at 3:30 p.m., on DZRH (666 khz on the AM band), on cable TV via RHTV and online through DZRH live streaming at www.dzrh.com.ph.

Today, Macuja welcomes US-based Filipino soprano Margarita Giannelli who is in Manila for performances of La Boheme. Giannelli graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. She is the first Filipino laureate of the prestigious Rosa Ponselle Foundation International Competition for the Vocal Arts.

On Oct. 26, representatives of The Sandbox Collective talk about what their new theater group is all about. Issa Tuason, Sab Jose, PJ Rebullida and Gino Ramirez were all drawn to the stage at a young age and have performed on stage, but are now also getting to try their hand with running a theater company. The four are busy handling The Imaginarium arts festival slated in late October.
