Kylie: The next important star
MANILA, Philippines - Kylie Padilla’s (photo) showbiz career is in full swing. In fact, she is touted as one of today’s next important artists.
Aside from headlining Regal Entertainment’s upcoming horror/thriller, Joey Reyes’ Dilim opposite Rayver Cruz, she also gets an important role on GMA Network’s history-serye Ilustrado with Alden Richards and is set to start work soon on another movie by direk Joey for Regal, Tsinoy.
Working with new leading man Rayver in Dilim makes Kylie’s job rosier. She openly expresses admiration for her co-star and thrilled on end about the favorable feedback generated by her team-up with the dashing Kapamilya actor.
“Rayver is not a ‘shooting’ friend. Hindi nagtatapos sa movie ang friendship namin. I feel his sincerity and respect. But let’s not jump into conclusion. I am blessed that I found a new friend. I am blessed, too, dahil sunod-sunod ang magagandang trabaho sa akin. The feeling is great and I won’t disappoint the people who trust me and believe in me,” Kylie said.
Ever since dad Robin gave her the go-signal to follow in his footsteps in showbiz, Kylie delivered marked performances in quite a number of projects.
She was able to display her action skills in Joaquin Bordado. People loved her in Tween Hearts. Her dramatic talents got showcased in shows like The Good Daughter, Unforgettable and Adarna.
Her rise to stardom is due to her raw talent, passion for acting and the showbiz blood in her.
Luckily, the young actress got good breaks from the Kapuso network — projects that were well-received by televiewers.
Kylie is also a composer and singer. She has produced her debut album Seasons, which was released through GMA Records where she expressed her poetic side with eight tracks of Filipino and English songs.
Aside from that, she is into martial arts — well-trained by dad Robin.
