Iggy Azalea leads pack in AMA 2014 nominations

MANILA, Philippines – The nominees for the American Music Awards 2014 has been announced in Good Morning America and leading the pack is "Black Widow" singer Iggy Azalea.

Azalea leads with six nominations including new artist and single of the year, favorite female artist in both the pop/rock and rap/hip-hop categories and for favorite rap/hip-hop album.

Other competitors for the artist of the year award are  Beyonce, Luke Bryan, Eminem, Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Lorde, One Direction, Katy Perry and Pharrell Williams.

Not letting rap rule this year, ballad artist John Legend and pop artist Katy Perry each got five nominations. Lorde and Pharrell Williams are not far from behind either, with four nominations each.

Surprisingly, Ariana Grande and Miley Cyrus are missing from the list.

Fans better build their armies since the winners will only be determined through nothing but fan votes. The 2014 American Music Awards will broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Sunday, Nov. 23 from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on ABC.
