Valerie Weigmann dominates special awards; gets sure Top 13 slot
MANILA, Philippines - Crowd favorite Valerie Weigmann dominated the special awards in the Miss World Philippines 2014 pageant held at the SM MOA Arena in Pasay City on Sunday night.
Weigmann grabbed awards for Best In Swimsuit, Miss Camarines Sur, Best In Fashion Runway, Best In Long Gown, Miss Blue Water Day Spa and Miss Bench.
Weigmann is a regular co-host of GMA Network's Eat Bulaga. She was also part of the second season of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition.
The other candidates who received special awards were:
Lorraine Kendrickson for Best in Sports
Nelda Iba for Miss Photogenic
Kristine Angeli Estoque and Christine Balaguer for Miss Friendship
Jean Maria Feliciano for Miss Talent
Kimerly Anne Sarreal for Miss Sun Cellular
Weigmann and Sarreal are assured of slots in the Top 13 for winning the special awards Best in Fashion Runway and Miss Sun Cellular, respectively.
