2014 Miss U pageant in Doral, Miami, Florida, on Jan. 25, 2015

MANILA, Philippines - Confirmed: The 63rd Miss Universe Pageant will be held on Jan. 25, 2015, in Doral, Miami, Florida, as announced by Miss U franchise-holder Donald Trump, NBC and Paula Shugart (Miss U Organization president) in a joint press conference recently.

It will be broadcast live from the FIU Arena on the campus of Florida International University on NBC, with a simulcast on Telemundo, and aired in Manila from 8 to 11 a.m. on Jan. 26.

The Philippine bet, Miss Universe-Philippines Mary Jean Lastimosa (right in photo, with reigning Miss U Gabriela Isler during the 2014 Bb. Pilipinas pageant), will compete with more than 80 hopefuls. — CELSO DE GUZMAN CAPARAS
