Dare to Dream with Disney on Ice & Araneta Center

MANILA, Philippines - The start of the Ber months also signals the countdown to the exciting Disney on Ice season. This year, the Araneta Center and Disney on Ice will present Dare to Dream — an ice spectacle featuring Disney’s well-loved princesses Rapunzel, Tiana, Cinderella and Snow White.

To celebrate 24 years of Disney on Ice in the Philippines, and to build up excitement for this year’s Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream, the Araneta Center recently held a special slumber party, which dared kids to dream and be inspired by the story of the four Disney princesses.

Everyone lived out their dream to be a prince and princess for the day, and enjoyed full royal treatment. Kids were given a royal makeover in a kiddie salon where they were styled to look like their Disney idols, and exercised their creativity with an interactive art session. Topping off the day’s fun events were an interactive storytelling session and a meet-and-greet session with Cinderella.

At the heart of the event was a partnership with the Make a Wish Foundation Philippines, the NGO that grants wishes to kids battling life-threatening diseases. The Dreamland Slumber Party made the dreams of 30 Make a Wish Foundation beneficiaries to become princes and princesses for a day come true. The kids were given tickets to the Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream Christmas show on Dec. 24.

The Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream Slumber Party fun continues on Oct. 4, 3 p.m. at the Araneta Center.

Meanwhile, classic meets contemporary in the coming Disney on Ice show. Laugh at Disney’s hilarious hair-raising escapade with Rapunzel in Tangled. Travel to the enchanted forest with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Watch as fanciful dreams become reality as Cinderella meets her Prince Charming. And boogie to the beat of the bayou in a musical journey that celebrates the story of The Princess and the Frog with Princess Tiana.
