Cherry Pie Picache’s mom found dead

MANILA, Philippines - The mother of actress Cherry Pie Picache was reportedly found dead at her house in Quezon City on Friday night.

According to a report by DZMM, Peter Serrano, Cherry Pie's friend, was the one who faced the media and gave details about the death of Zenaida, the actress' mother.

Cherry Pie, whom Serrano said is "in a state of shock," was trying to contact her 75-year-old mother this evening but was not answering her phone, leading the actress to decide to head to her house.

She then asked her driver to jump over the gate, only to find the lifeless body of Zenaida, who purportedly died due to stab wounds.

Quoting the driver, Serrano said Zenaida was found “lying on the floor [apparently] murdered.”

Serrano added that there are five people -- three cleaning ladies who work in shifts and two gardeners -- who have access to Zenaida's house.

He said they’re still waiting for the autopsy report.

Quezon City scene of the crime operatives are conducting an investigation on the incident as of posting time.
