Ruffa on mending fences with Shaina: 'It was the right thing to do'

MANILA, Philippines - “Magaan sa loob.”
Thus said Ruffa Gutierrez when asked how it felt to finally reconcile with Shaina Magdayao.
It was previously reported that Ruffa and Shaina accidentally met at a gym earlier this month.
“After all these years, dito pa kami nagkita. And just like that, all's well that ends well. Peace, Shaina,” the beauty queen said of her meeting with the ABS-CBN actress on Instagram last September 2.
Talking to entertainment reporters during the press conference for the second season of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez,” Ruffa revealed it was Shaina who first approached her during the chance meeting.
“I can say na si Shaina, she made the first move. She said, ‘Hello’ and ako naman, ‘Hello!’ Ganun lang kasimple. Sabi niya, 'Tapos na ‘yon ha.' We just talked and I said tapos na.,” Ruffa told reporters on Monday, September 15.
Ruffa and Shaina had a rift after both being linked to John Lloyd Cruz in 2010.
She added: “For me, time heals all wounds. Hindi naman indirectly nag-away kami dahil sa lalaki pero ganun na nga ang nangyari.”
“Girls only fight about that, and because of outfits and inggitan. Para sa amin, tapos na ‘yong isyung ‘yon. We’re all happy where we are right now. That’s a past issue,” Ruffa quipped.
“I think, in God’s perfect time, hindi mo na kailangang pilitin ang isang bagay, nangyayari na lang naturally. It was the right thing to do because the guy is already part of our past,” the TV host and now reality show star further said.
While John Lloyd is currently in a relationship with Angelica Panganiban, both Ruffa and Shaina remain single.
Ruffa returns with her family in the second season of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.”
It premieres Sunday, October 5 on cable channel E!, which airs on channel 57 on Sky Cable and Destiny Digital, channel 25 for Cignal, and channel 33 on Cable Link
