Karylle no comment on Dingdong-Marian wedding

Joyce Jimenez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines —  Karylle Yuzon refused to comment on the upcoming wedding of his former boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes, with Marian Rivera.

"Everyone deserves a beautiful wedding. So I'd rather not comment on it na lang po," Karylle said in an interview Wednesday at the Status Hair Salon event where she was announced as first celebrity ambassador.

The Kapamilya singer-actress was also asked to comment on the recent incident involving her "It's Showtime" co-host Billy Crawford, who was detained at a police station in Taguig over the weekend.

"Actually we haven't seen him yet," Karylle replied when asked how Billy is doing, adding that the rest of her co-costs were neither able to communicate with him. Crawford took a short break from the short following the incident.

Although they haven't talked yet, Karylle assures Billy that "we're always there for the victories and the moments where we need each other the most."

Karylle admits that she can identify with Billy on the "pressure" he has experienced since the incident. She previously had a conflict with Vice Ganda, another co-host, over a comment made by her husband, Yael Yuzon.

She recalled how it was to go through the phase, "I won't lie, it's really difficult. I don't know, iba-iba rin siya kasi iba-ibang buhay rin naman. Pero for me it was difficult, and I'm just happy na nalagpasan namin ‘yon. Everything naman, e, [nalalagpasan] basta kapit ka lang."

Karylle also dismissed some people's comments that the hosts of It's Showtime are cursed.

This talk started after Vice Ganda had an issue with GMA-7 anchor Jessica Soho, followed by Anne Curtis' slapping incident with John Lloyd Cruz. Karylle also had an issue with Vice Ganda, which affected their friendship before.

Vhong Navarro was also involved in an alleged rape incident with Denice Cornejo and was beaten up by Cedric Lee's group. Latest is Billy being detained over the weekend.

"You can choose to believe it or not, and I choose not to believe it because I don't want to be part of anything na will bring anyone harm," she explained. "I believe that words are powerful, that's why ako, I choose my words very carefully because your thoughts becomes parang ... what happens."
