IN PHOTOS: Heart, Chiz grace Star Magic Ball 2014

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Heart Evangelista shows off her newly engaged glow at the 8th Star Magic Ball on Saturday, September 6.

This marks the newly engaged couple's first public appearance following the controversy regarding their wedding venue. Heart and Chiz's wedding is set on Feb. 14, 2015.

The 29-year-old actress, who attended the event with Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, was stunning and elegant in her whit Francis Libiran gown.

Heart was also wearing her heart-shaped engagement ring, which the STAR entertainment editor Ricky Lo revealed was a family heirloom that came from Chiz's mother. 

While Heart is currently with GMA-7, the actress has always been a welcome presence in the past editions of the Star Magic Ball as a former ABS-CBN star and Star Magic talent. 

Heart is not the only star from the other TV networks to attend this year's Star Magic Ball. Jolina Magdangal also graced the event with husband Mark Escueta while young actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith also attended the event with boyfriend Sam Concepcion, an ABS-CBN artist.
