MANILA, Philippines- Jodi Sta. Maria chooses to keep her personal life private.
Though her relationship with Jolo Revilla is known to public, she's mum whenever asked about details of their relationship.
“Well I think hindi kaila sa inyo na kapag tungkol sa personal kong buhay hindi ko masyado pinag-uusapan. Thank you,” Jodi politely replied in an interview on Thursday, when asked how things are going between her and Jolo.
She also declined to answer when asked to clarify reports that their relationship is on the rocks due to the issues that the Revillas are going through.
“Like what I've said, I'm really not open about my personal life. I hope you respect that,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya actress is happy to star in another horror film, after her last film “Cinco” in 2010.
She's part of the horror film “Maria Leonora, Teresa,” where she stars with Iza Calzado and Zanjoe Marudo, and serves as Director Wenn Deramas' debut in horror films.
“Hindi lang 'to basta horror. May kurot siya, may puso siya, may drama, may comedy din,” she said about the film.
The Maria, Leonora, Teresa actress said she really looks forward to do the film “kasi I've been doing rom-com (romantic-comedy) and light drama for quite some time. So 'pag pumupunta ako ng set talagang excited ako and I look forward to doing this film.”
The film will be in cinemas starting September 17.
Meanwhile, there are days when Jodi will take her son Thirdy on the set of the film or her TV series “Be Careful With My Heart” as a way of bonding and making up to the time they doesn't see each other.
Though one main reason is “I want him to know where I am when I'm not home Gusto ko rin siya ma-expose sa line of work na ginagawa ko para hindi siya naghahanap o nagtataka kung nasaan ba si mommy.”
With this son being exposed to the showbiz world, Jodi is happy to hear from him that he doesn't want – at least for now – to be part of the industry.
“Minsan tatanungin ko siya, 'Babe, gusto mo na ba maging actor?' Sasabihin niya, 'no, mommy, commercials muna. Baka mapuyat ako,'” she recalls, laughing. “Siyempre pabor naman sa akin 'yon dahil gusto ko na makatapos ang anak ko ng pag-aaral.”
