MANILA, Philippines - Sta. Lucia International, the global arm of premier property developer Sta. Lucia Land, Inc., further strengthens its presence in its overseas market by joining cable channel The Filipino Channel (TFC) and London-based organization Philippine Centre’s Barrio Fiesta sa London show held recently at Apps Court Farm, Surrey in the United Kingdom.
Started in 1984, Barrio Fiesta sa London is the biggest Filipino-themed event in Europe which draws an average attendance of 50,000 guests. The two-day free cultural event was organized by the Philippine Centre to help promote Filipino culture through activities such as games, a food fair and shows. Since 2010, Barrio Fiesta has been in partnership with TFC and has consistently brought ABS-CBN’s top talents to London to entertain Kapamilya in Europe. This year’s show featured artists such as Sam Milby, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Enchong Dee, Jessy Mendiola, Pokwang, Julia Barretto, Enrique Gil, Rayver Cruz and Shaina Magdayao. Also present to serenade guests was featured act, Gary Valenciano, who is celebrating 30 years in the showbiz industry.
Sta. Lucia International, which has a sales office in London, joined the event as a way to help support Filipino cultural identity in Europe.
“I hope through this activity, even non-Filipinos would get to know more about the Philippines and realize that there’s huge potential in the country. We hope that this is the start not just of celebrating Filipino culture in Europe, but also of greater investment into the country,” says Sta. Lucia International CEO and EVP Liezel Magpoo.
Europe is Sta. Lucia International’s biggest market, with its London sales office contributing 50 percent of the company’s total sales.
Sta. Lucia’s London sales team joined Barrio Fiesta sa London as a way to promote Filipino culture and investments in real estate among OFWs and foreigners alike.
