Joyce Jimenez - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines- Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) called out the attention of ABS-CBN shows “It's Showtime” and “Gandang Gabi Vice,” after receiving several complaints.

The Twitter account of MTRCB announced that it has summoned the “It's Showtime” for airing the “armpit humor” which they believe is “not fit for very young viewers.”

It also quoted the National Council for Children's Television, which views the show as “bad example for children.”

Meanwhile, MTRCB also summoned the executives of the  show “Gandang Gabi Vice” and its host Vice Ganda to attend a “mandatory conference” due to the “double meaning language” used in the show.

The staff and host of the show will undergo a seminar to discuss audience and children sensitivity.

According to the report of a news website, the show was also advised to refrain from guesting a minor. Gandang Gabi Vice airs every Sunday.

ABS-CBN assured the Board that they will comply and submit its self-regulatory recommendations on Monday, September 1.
