MANILA, Philippines - Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla is happy she's again hosting a show with husband Robin Padilla.
Mariel, Robin, and Tuesday Vargas will be hosting TV5's talent search show “Talentadong Pinoy,” which starts airing on August 16.
“Dito naman po kami talaga nag-meet, sa pagho-host” Mariel said in an interview on Monday. “Siyempre natuwa ako kasi gusto ko naman talaga. 'Yon 'yong pinaka-yes factor kumbaga.”
Hosting the show somehow was a surprise for some of her fans, especially after she became a judge in ABS-CBN's noontime show “It's Showtime.” Before moving with TV5, Mariel had hosting stints for ABS-CBN shows "Pinoy Big Brother” and “Wowowee,” which later also moved to TV5.
The Kapatid host then clarified that “it was just a guesting, we really didn't close anything.”
She's just happy to be in one show with Robin, which serves as their “bonding moment” as well. “Iba ulit na journey para sa aming mag-asawa, na may project kaming ganito.”
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old actress said having a baby is not yet in their plans, adding that they might wait for two more years.
Despite not having a child yet, their four-year marriage is still intact.
“Gano'n naman talaga, di ba? Kaya nga nagpapakasal, kasi nga lalagay sa tahimik,” she said about her happy marriage with Robin.
Although when asked what advice she could give to friend Claudine Barretto who's having marriage problems, she replied while smiling: “Wala akong advice.”
