MANILA, Philippines - Yassi is happy to get through the "unhealthy stage" of moving on from a breakup, and is enjoying her life as unattached and single.
Yassi and Sef Cadayona ended their relationship this year.
"After that stage of realization na it wasn't healthy, I found a way po to make it healthy. Kasi parang pumasok po lahat ng blessings after nangyari 'yon," she said in an interview on Wednesday.
Some of these"blessings" are being picked as host of MTV Philippines, being part of the film "Diary ng Panget," as well as another upcoming film "Talk Back Your Dead."
Although she has suitors, she said she has made it clear to them that "hindi pa talaga ako ready for now. Okay rin kasi they step back also."
She added "kasi isa rin 'yon sa hinahanap ko, 'yong gentleman, 'yong they know how to respect a lady."
Yassi also said that if given a choice, she would like to have a non-showbiz boyfriend.
"Kasi parang ang hirap kapag nasa spotlight din 'yong guys, kasi everyone knows you, parang it's too public na rin," she added.
"So parang masaya lang din na magkaro'n ng private life aside from my showbiz life. Kasi that's when you spend time with your family and friends."
The 19-year-old Yassi shared a piece of advice to ladies her age who feel "left out" for not being in a relationship.
"In your age, you can learn a lot about yourself," she said. "No one has the right to make you feel lonely just because you don't have a boyfriend."
