MANILA, Philippines - Everything seems to be going Sarah Geronimo’s way. After guiding Lyca Gairanod to victory in the recent grand finals of The Voice Kids, she was introduced last Tuesday as Yes! Magazine’s 2014 Most Beautiful Star during a press conference held at Element Events Center in Quezon City.
The 26-year-old actress-singer joined the ranks of previous Most Beautiful Stars like Judy Ann Santos, Marian Rivera, John Lloyd Cruz and Anne Curtis. Sarah was chosen because of her quiet sophistication and confidence. “Sarah is a woman who has come into her own, and that is the reason why Yes! Magazine has chosen her as this year’s Most Beautiful Star,” said editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon.
Sarah attended the press conference and shared her own thoughts, “Naniniwala ako na kung paano ako pinalaki ng mga magulang ko, ‘yon ‘yung maganda sa akin. Maganda sa akin ‘yong pagmamahal ko sa Diyos, pagmamahal ko sa pamilya ko, and the people who supported me at naniniwala sa akin ever since nagsimula ako sa industriya.”
The other celebrities who made it to the Most Beautiful Stars list under various categories were Arjo Atayde and Mark Neumann (Newbies); Louise delos Reyes and Rocco Nacino (TV Draw); Ryzza Mae Dizon, Bimby Yap and Andrea Brillantes (Wonder Kids); Janine Gutierrez, Coleen Garcia and Ynna Asistio (Sweethearts); Alden Richards and Enrique Gil (Heartthrobs); Heart Evangelista and Andi Eigenmann (Independent Ladies); Iza Calzado and Sid Lucero (Critics’ Choice); Tom Rodriguez and Daniel Padilla (Primetime Big Hitters); Ritz Azul, Benjamin Alves (Heat); Arron Villaflor and Rafael Rosell (Fit & Fab); Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones, Drew Arellano and Iya Villania (Tandems); and Julie Ann San Jose and Gary Valenciano (Music Icons). The event was hosted by Iya.
