MANILA, Philippines – ABS-CBN's talent management arm Star Magic confirmed that actress Melissa Ricks is pregnant.
“Yes it's true. She's pregnant,” said Thess Gubi, Star Magic public relations head, in a text message to Philstar.com on Monday, July 28.
According to a report published on news site ABS-CBN News, Melissa is pregnant with the child of her non-showbiz boyfriend.
A showbiz gossip blog first published a report last week claiming the 24-year-old actress is pregnant.
Melissa, who entered showbiz via the 2004 reality talent show “Star Circle Quest,” was previously romantically linked to Jake Cuenca and, most recently, Paul Jake Castillo.
The ABS-CBN actress admitted her breakup with Paul Jake last year.
Melissa recently appeared in an episode of the ABS-CBN legal drama “Ipaglaban Mo.” She also starred in the 2013 soap opera “Honesto” and the 2012 drama “Walang Hanggan.”
