MORe fun in M.O.R.

Every Sunday afternoon, sing-along and laugh-along with Jhai Ho (left) and Maki Rena in MOR Pinoy Hits

After celebrating its first anniversary via the star-studded M.O.R. (My Only Radio) Pinoy Music Awards 2014 at the Mall of Asia Arena, ABS-CBN’s FM station MOR 101.9 For Life! gives listeners “MORe music and MORe fun” with the launch of its new line-up of weekend programs.

“We have a strong engagement with our listeners today. Aside from featuring hit songs from Star Records and live guestings of popular singers and actors, we are introducing new weekend programs that cater to the music preferences of our listeners,” said Star Music head Roxy Liquigan.

The new weekend line-up features a balanced mix of seasoned radio personalities like Martin D, China Paps, Ms. M, and promising jocks like Jhai Ho, Maki Rena and Eva Ronda.

But more than the roster of DJs, the engagement with listeners is what makes it more exciting. At any show, any time, Kapamilya listeners can take part in the discussion by texting 2366 or calling our hotlines 924-2684 and 415-1111.

“Now, we have ‘MORe’ solid connection with our audience through our programs and DJs,” said MOR station head Mars Ocampo, who also gave credit to the influence of M.O.R.’s three brand ambassadors — Daniel Padilla, Toni Gonzaga and Vice Ganda.

Mars said, “The positive personalities of Daniel, Toni and Vice Ganda really reflect the overall image of MOR as a happy, positive, fun station. Through them, more people discover and rediscover our station.”

Aside from the greetings, listeners are encouraged to share their opinion on certain topics raised on Sayabadabadoo or Very Very Nice, comment on the featured band on MOR Live and impart their personal life lessons on Dear MOR Weekends and Heartbearts.

Every weekend morning, wake up to the wacky musical ride of All-Time Favorites, a mash-up of two hit MOR shows, namely Music On Rewind and Sabado Sikat, where listeners can request for their favorite songs and dedicate them to all the special people in their lives.

On Saturdays, from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m., Martin D and China Paps kick off the rest days with their witty banters about everything and anything under the sun. While on Sundays from 5 a.m. to 12 noon, Martin goes solo onboard and entertains his listeners with the hits of the ’60s and ’70s. In the Sunday edition of All-Time Favorites, callers can share the stories behind their requested songs.

Like All-Time Favorites, Kapamilyas get two doses of the hit radio drama Dear MOR on weekends. Ms. M and Daddy Alex team up on Dear MOR Weekends that airs from 12 noon to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Ms. M and Daddy Alex tackle letter senders’ problems and give advice from a “he-said-she-said” perspective or format and encourage audience participation.

Meanwhile, sustain Saturday’s high energy with Onse’s Sayabadabadoo (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.); Bobzilla and Popoy’s trendy barkada jamming in MOR Live (5 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and Reggie V’s Heartbeats (8 p.m. to 12 midnight).

Spend quality time with loved ones on Sundays, and sing and laugh along with Maki Rena and Jhai Ho in MOR Pinoy Hits (2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) and Eva Ronda in Very Very Nice (6 p.m. to 8 p.m.).

Online supporters of MOR 101.9 For Life! can also catch the new weekend line-up by watching MOR TV at www.mor1019.com.

“Just like how we champion OPM (Original Pilipino Music) through the recent MOR Pinoy Music Awards, we will keep on innovating and bringing quality radio entertainment to our listeners,” Mars concluded.

At its recent MOR Pinoy Music Awards, thousands of Kapamilya fans were unfazed by the heavy rains and trooped to Mall of Asia Arena to witness their idols receive their much-coveted MOR trophies.
