Enchong Dee wants to keep private relationship with girlfriend

MANILA, Philippines- Enchong Dee expressed surprise that the news of him having a girlfriend is a “big deal” for the public.

He also said he feels bad that after admitting  his relationship with the non-showbiz girl, some people were able to trace his girlfriend and started bashing her online.

“Simula nung malaman ng mga tao, may mga nagtu-tweet sa kanya, may mga gumagawa ng mga accounts na bashers. I feel bad kasi hindi siya sanay sa ganito, e. So, I just want to keep it really low-key," he said in an interview Wednesday.

He added that “ever since naman, hindi ako nagsisinungaling. Natanong ako kaya sinagot ko. Pero hanggang dun lang yung masasabi ko ‘coz my girlfriend is not from showbiz.”

The “Once a Princess” star also clarified that “hindi naman sa hindi ako  proud sa kanya. As much as possible, I want to protect her from all of these."

Meanwhile, Enchong recalled how he met his girlfriend.

“Nasa shooting ako ng Once A Princess, tapos na-pack ako ng mas maaga. I have to attend a certain event. Nakita ko siya, nilapitan ko siya, nagpakilala ako, kinuha ko ‘yong number tapos ‘yon na.”

When pressed to give further details about the girl, Enchong requested that “balato niyo na ‘to sa akin. This is by far my happiest relationship and my most private relationship. As much as possible ayoko magbigay ng details, kasi bawat details na ibigay ko malalaman n’yo na kung sino.”

If there were some who bash his girlfriend, there are others who bash him because they doubt that he’s really in a relationship.

Enchong said he doesn’t mind those negative comments, “wala naman ako makukuha kung maniwala sila o hindi, okay lang naman sa akin."

“Sa akin, hindi, kasi sanay naman na ako. Sabi ko nga, wala naman ako makukuha kung maniwala sila o hindi. Okay lang sa akin. As much as possible, I respect their opinions also. Okay lang sa akin, huwag lang sa kanya," referring to his girlfriend.

Though he’s busy with work, especially now that he’s promoting his upcoming film “Once a Princess” with Erich Gonzalez and JC de Vera, Enchong said he makes up to “sweetie” by giving her his spare time.

“Sa gabi after ng work ko,” he replied when asked how he makes up to her. “Kasi sa umaga ang trabaho ko, so after work bumabawi ako. Dapat magkasama kami.”
