Winners of the Yahoo Celebrity Awards

MANILA, Philippines - Kapamilya stars Kim Chiu and Vice Ganda led this year’s winners of the Yahoo Celebrity Awards 2014 held last Friday night at MOA Arena in Pasay City.

The awards drew 17.5 million fan votes, recording the highest number of online votes worldwide in its four-year history. Kim received the Celebrity of the Year and Actress of the Year awards while Vice bagged the Social Media Star and Love Team of the Year trophies together with It’s Showtime co-host Karylle.

ABS-CBN’s Ikaw Lamang featuring Coco Martin, Jake Cuenca and Kim was named the Teleserye of the Year while Kim and Xian Lim’s Bride for Rent Best Movie of the Year. Kapuso stars Jennylyn Mercado, Jake Vargas and Bea Binene bested their rivals in the Female Kontrabida and Celebrity Couple of the Year categories, respectively.

Hosted by Maxene Magalona and Robi Domingo, the star-studded awards night featured performances by Male and Female Performer of the Year awardees Bamboo and Sarah Geronimo; Gary and Gab Valenciano; Maja Salvador; Sam Concepcion, Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Mark Herras; Jay-R, Spongecola; Parokya ni Edgar; and Elmo Magalona.

Other celebrities who graced the event were Richard Gomez, Gladys Reyes and husband Christopher Roxas, Bea Rose Santiago, Vince Hizon and wife Patricia Bermudez.
