MTV Pinoy VJ Hunt comes to Metro Manila

MANILA, Philippines - From a booth at the Ayala Center in Cebu last June 21, the hunt continued on to the Centrio Mall in Cagayan de Oro (CDO) last July 5 and then to the Marquee Mall in Pampanga last July 12. And now the search for a new batch of MTV VJs comes to another exciting phase. The hunt is finally coming to Metro Manila.

MTV Pinoy, the local edition of the world’s premier youth entertainment brand, is bringing its VJ Hunt to the Glorietta in Makati City today and to Trinoma in Quezon City on Aug. 3. Those interested in becoming MTV VJs can visit the MTV booths in the following venues for auditions from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the specified dates.

Qualified to join the hunt are male and female aspirants aged 16 and above. Potential candidates should be articulate, witty, confident, clued in to pop culture, passionate about music and most of all, must be Pinoy sa puso. As part of the challenging selection process, participants will perform tasks such as read a prepared spiel in English and Filipino and do interviews. The search will end with the announcement of winners on Oct. 2, after which the winners will begin their careers as MTV VJs.

MTV Pinoy is a partnership between Viacom International Media Networks, a unit of Viacom, Inc., home of popular entertainment brands like MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and Paramount Channel.

MTV Pinoy focuses on original productions, events and program geared specifically towards Filipino viewers.
