Heart on marriage with Chiz: Definitely we're getting there

MANILA, Philippines - Heart Evangelista on Thursday revealed that she and Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero are already talking about settling down.

Though there was no proposal from the senator during their vacation in Paris, she said: "Definitely papunta na kami doon, but we're just taking our time."

"We're very open about our relationship. We plan things out pero... Basta," Heart said as she declined to elaborate.

Heart said during the press conference of her movie "Trophy Wife," that she would just want to experience things that she missed when she entered show business before she settles down.

"I've really missed a lot of things. Growing up I didn't get to travel much, I missed college, a normal life," she said. "So definitely 'yong chapter na 'yon ng buhay ko I really want to experience."

If eventually she gets to marry the senator, Heart said she will not leave the industry.

"Pero hindi ibig sabihin aalis ako sa showbiz. Maybe I won't do much soaps anymore. Since naman before, I've always wanted that normal life," she said.

Asked if she's ready to become the "First Lady," Heart said: "Siyempre dapat mag-propose muna siya."

The actress then clarified that Escudero is not yet thinking of running for president in 2016.

"So hindi ko po talaga iniisip 'yon. Ang iniisip ko is 'yong next chapter sa buhay namin ni Chiz. Pero malaking karangalan kung mangyari po 'yon," she said.

During the press conference, Heart said that she is also happy for her friends Lovi Poe and Alessandra de Rossi.

Lovi recently admitted that she is already in a relationship with Rocco Nacino while Alessandra is now being linked to Sid Lucero.

Heart, however, declined to confirm if Alessandra and Lucero are already together.
