Musica Iuvenalis at the Shang

MANILA, Philippines - Shangri-La Plaza presents an afternoon of inspired tunes from Slovakian string orchestra Musica Iuvenalis (photo) on July 12, 5 p.m. at the East Atrium of the Shang’s East Wing.

Take in the splendid string music from one of Slovakia’s top musical groups, headed by conductor Igor Dohovi? and composed of the most talented students from the country’s prestigious high schools and universities. Enjoy Musica Iuvenalis’ sophisticated brand of performance, which comes to the Philippines as part of its International Asia Tour that will also make the rounds in China, Russia, Turkey and Japan.

Established in 1964, Musica Iuvenalis is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Aside from being one of Slovakia’s finest performance artists, the orchestra is also known throughout Europe as one of the best non-professional chamber and symphony bodies. It continuously makes the rounds of the festival circuit in countries like France, Austria, Germany, Scotland, Belgium and Spain.
