Why Erwan keeps a quiet relationship with Anne Curtis

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines – Despite the attention he is getting as the boyfriend of ABS-CBN talent Anne Curtis, Erwan Heussaff said he wants to keep his personal life away from the public eye.

“Work is work, as simple as that. And my personal life is my personal life... I grew up in a very business-oriented family and that's where I want to stick to,” he said in an interview with Philstar.com and other members of the press during the launch of Esquire Magazine's Food and Drink issue on Tuesday, July 8.

Esquire's food and drink editor said he would rather be known as a businessman and restaurant owner. He currently co-owns a number of restaurants, including Hatch 22 and Pink Panda in Makati City and Niner Ichi Nana and Hungry Hound in Taguig City with more on the way.

Erwan explained he does not want “to answer too many questions” about her relationship with Anne.

Asked about previous reports that his relationship with the 28-year-old actress is on the rocks, he said:  “Again, this is why I don't want to answer questions about this because it is all ridiculous.”

He added: “I have a different life in business... That's where I want to people to know me for.”

Erwan said he is still not used to the attention he is getting. “It's not a bad thing. It's something I completely respect but it's not for me.”

“I like to do what I do. Everything that I will do will always be food, drink. If ever I'm working on a couple of shows in Singapore or in the region, it's always about food.”

The July issue of Esquire Philippines, which has Erwan on the cover, is available on newsstands nationwide.
