Celebrities who battled cancer

MANILA, Philippines - Aside from discussing the controversial Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) of the Aquino administration at the Senate Building on July 2, the sassy and fierce Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago also revealed that she has a Stage 4 lung cancer.

Fortunately, Senator Miriam’s left lung cancer is not dispersing. Her medication includes “molecular targeting,” which is taken once day that gives the benefit of chemotherapy without the bad side effects of such treatment.

Sentiments and supports ran high after the senator confessed her condition. In fact, #MiriamFight seized the top spot on twitter’s trending topic locally and worldwide. Even celebrities, including Kim Chiu, Bianca Gonzales, Saab Magalona, Jed Madela and Julius Babao had offered their prayers on Twitter.
