One Pink Day for the LGBT

MANILA, Philippines - The Quezon City Government through the Office of Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte in partnership with The Pink Tie Management, The Quizons and Fore & Aft, will be having an event for the LGBT community titled One Pink Day on July 20, to be held at the QC Hall grounds. 

The event will be a gathering of LGBT members and advocates to support their call for equal rights and at the same time provide them various services, fun activities and free talks by well-known LGBT rights advocates. There will also be freebies to be given away from partner sponsors.

One Pink Day will start at 5 a.m. through a Pink Fun Run within Quezon City Hall with 3k, 5k and 10k categories, and part of the proceeds will be donated to the QC Protection Center for Abused Women, Children and LGBTs. Fun games, inspirational  talks and entertainment through a contest titled Si Dolphy Kasama Sina Girl, Boy, Bakla at Tomboy will also be conducted after the fun run.

For those who are interested to join the contest, simply choose an excerpt from Dolphy’s hit movies like Jack & Jill, Darna Kuno, Ang Tatay Kong Nanay, Pacifica Falayfay and Marcova, prepare for a one-minute video impersonating Mang Dolphy and send it to [email protected].
