NYOBG’s futuristic-inspired shows

MANILA, Philippines - NYOBG’s Carlo Sawit, PJ Go, Avery Paraiso, Benj Bolivar, Kaye Chua, Maui Lumba, Bon Jovi Osorio, Junnel Manansala and Jennica Ollero travel to the future in the futuristic-themed Not Your Ordinary Variety Show (NYOVS) at different Pagcor Casino branches starting July 9 (Casino Filipino Olongapo), July 10 (Casino Filipino Hyatt), July 16 (Casino Filipino Pavilion), July 18 (Casino Filipino Tagaytay), and July 25 (Casino Filipino Ronquillo).

Special guests are Krazy Chikz and other Pagcor artists.

The talented guys and gals continue to make their presence felt in the local showbiz scene through TV, commercials, billboards and the movies. When asked what the future holds, Benj said, “Now that I’m doing Moon of Desire on ABS-CBN, mas lalong naging intense ang desire ko na magtagal sa showbiz. I learn a lot from my director and co-stars and I’ll use their advice to improve my craft. I want to see myself in the industry for a long, long time.” Benj plays Dr. Paco Mercader in the afternoon series.

Maui Lumba, this year’s Century Tuna Superbods champion, offered, “I hope my winning as Century Tuna Superbod is the start of a rewarding career in the entertainment business. There’s no turning back. Ginusto kong pumasok sa showbiz, wala nang atrasan ito. I’m happy na kahit baguhan pa lang ako, dumarating na ang suwerte.”

Pizza endorser Carlo shared, “I enjoy my craft and I’m willing to learn. It has always been my dream to be in showbiz. I like to inspire people. Alam kong walang imposible if you continue to dream and to work hard for it. I’m thankful that I get to display my talents in NYOVS. With all the opportunities coming my way, I believe that I can achieve my goals.”

Chinito heartthrob PJ, who endorses a mobile phone, looks forward to a bright future in showbiz. “Nakakataba ng puso kapag marami ang pumapalakpak at pumupuri. Makikita mo kasi ang reaction ng mga tao sa performance mo. I hope in the future I can work with A-list stars like Piolo Pascual, Jericho Rosales, John Lloyd Cruz, Kim Chiu, Sarah Geronimo and Bea Alonzo.”

Kaye was third runner-up and People’s Choice Award in the Ms. Manila 2014. Despite her haywire schedule, she still participates in the Pagcor shows. “Nakaka-miss kapag hindi ko kasama ang grupo. I consider them my family kasi magkakasabay kaming nag-umpisa. Since we have our respective careers to take care of, NYOVS is our chance to see and work together.”

Jennica and Bon Jovi are excited for the July Pagcor show. “Galing ng theme this month! Futuristic. It’s not every day that we get to wear those kinds of clothes. Meaningful din ang theme because naiisip namin kung ano na kaya kami five to 10 years from now.”

Avery and Junnel joked, “Indeed, the future looks bright for us so we gotta wear shades.”
