MANILA, Philippines- Jasmine Curtis-Smith is now living independently in her own condominium for a month now.
She moved there with her household help, after staying with sister Anne Curtis-Smith for a while.
“There's a different freedom you feel kahit may kasama pa akong isang house help,” she said in an interview Saturday, June 28. “'Yong responsibility na you work for your own bills, grocery, at saka when you wake up you know it's only you at your home. Iba ang freedom na nararamdaman ko compared sa freedom sa place ni ate.”
Jasmine said living independently was an adjustment for her.
“Hindi siya surprise, I mean, hindi ako na-overwhelm. But yeah, it's an adjustment somehow,” she said.
She doesn't get bored in her new pace as well since her boyfriend Sam Concepcion visits her from time to time.
“Okay ang pagdalaw niya, walang issue kahit kanino. Walang problem kasi malaki naman ang trust namin kay Sam.” she replied when asked if her sister knows that Sam is visiting her in her condo.
She also adds that “it's safer talaga to hangout at home, hindi kami mabubulabog ng tao when we want peace and quiet, puwede kami magtagal habang kumakain na hindi na-awkward sa public.”
Meanwhile, Jasmine is thankful to Robin Padilla for agreeing to support her TV5 series “Jasmine.”
Robin's appearance in the show was planned earlier, but was kept as a surprise for the viewers. In the series, Robin will play the role of a former hotshot policeman who was dismissed from service because of drinking problems.
In the show, Robin will help Jasmine find Maskara, her stalker, and at the same time avenge his murdered former student Inspector Ramirez (Matt Padilla).
“Sobrang laking karangalan,” she said about working with Robin. “Siyempre sobrang thankful ko kasi I never had the chance to work with him because kahit same management pa kami, iba talaga 'yong line of work namin.”
When asked if she's ready to do action scenes with him, Jasmine replied, “alam ko hindi talaga do'n ang line ng show for my character. But because of him medyo mapapagano'n ng slight, hindi naman todo-todo, slight lang.
“But if gano'n, of course game naman ako do'n. I want to give justice on how my character changes along the way, because the writers get to choose my future in the show di ba.”
See Robin Padilla's first appearance on the show this Sunday, July 6, 5 p.m. on TV5.
