Stone denies Banderas romance

LOS ANGELES —  Sharon Stone has denied that she is dating Antonio Banderas, according to a report by Cover Media website.              

The rumors surfaced on Thursday linking the Basic Instinct actress to the 53-year-old actor. But now, Sharon has broken her silence and slammed the claims, saying Banderas is just a friend.   

“Antonio is a brother to me and Melanie has been with me for each and every birth of my three children,” Sharon said in a statement. “They are my family. I find this salacious, unkind, unfounded reporting to be the typical pretense of what passes as ‘journalism’ today.”  

Sharon was responding to reports that ran in British magazine Grazia. The publication claimed Sharon and Antonio were making plans for a summer getaway together.

Banderas and Griffith filed for divorce on June 6 after 18 years of marriage. The couple have one daughter, Stella, 18, and in divorce papers, Melanie has asked for spousal and child support.
