MANILA, Philippines- Piolo Pascual says that he misses taking care of a child..
With his son Inigo turning 17 this year and is in America most of the time, he misses having kids around.
So what he does is "whenever I have time I take my family out, my pamangkins. Even at the set, I'm fond of Zaijan, I'm fond of these kids. So nag-e-enjoy ako with these kids," he said in an interview Tuesday at the family day event in Hospicio de San Jose.
The kids he's referring to are Zaijan Jaranilla, Zyriel Manabat, Andrea Brillantes, and Yesha Camille , his co -stars in his upcoming primetime family drama "Hawak Kamay."
Though he would like to have another kid, what's hard for Piolo is "makahanap nang makakatulong gumawa. You know, that's the hardest part of the equation," he said smiling.
Despite his good looks, good career, and stable life, the Kapamilya hunk says to find a partner who would accept him and his son is tough.
"It's a package deal, you know, I have a kid," he explained. "I don't want to have a kid without getting married. My son had a hard time and it wasn't his choice. So if I find my future children a solid family, that will be nice."
As the topic of partners has beenbrought up, members of the press asked him about Shaina Magdayao , who is being linked to him recently.
Though he says they still see each other every Sunday in "ASAP" and when they go out with their friends, Piolo still describes her as a "special friend."
What's important for him now is that "we're able to keep the friendship. In the long run, ang importante you were able to preserve the relationship where you started. Gano'n lang muna.
"We don't want to take everything all at the same time. Whatever's on your plate take your time, maximize it, when it comes, it comes. Time management lang. Kasi mahirap dahil sabay-sabay din ang projects, I have a son. It's hard, it's hard, wala na nga ko time sa sarili ko."
For now, Piolo would like to focus on his new project, especially as this will be his comeback project on TV.
"I want to thank ABS for the continued trust. Mahirap, there's pressure. But with everything you do there's challenge, there's pressure. But just go with the flow, maximize your time and give your best," he said.
