SkyCable subscribers meet Resurrection stars

MANILA, Philippines - Philippine viewers can now experience the new series Resurrection, which premiered in the US to sky-high ratings with 13.3 million viewers, as it debuted in Asia this month.

Two of its lead stars, Omar Epps and Kurtwood Smith, recently came to Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines for the Resurrection Asia Tour, to promote the series and engage with local fans. Lifetime Channel held the Resurrection Asia Tour Meet and Greet in Greenbelt 3, Makati City last May 9. Kurtwood and Omar were welcomed by their Manila fans who all came to catch a glimpse of their favorite actors, lining up to have their photos taken with them and enjoying the experience of being one of the first in Asia to watch the series’ primary two episodes. Lucky SkyCable subscribers who joined the online promotion also had the privilege to attend the event.

Omar is immigration agent J. Martin  Bellamy, who discovered a young boy named Jacob, in China and brought him back to his home in the US. He is an award-winning actor who starred in the hit medical drama House, for which he received the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series award in 2007 and 2008. On the other hand, Kurtwood stars as Henry Langston, the father of Jacob whom he thought was dead for 32 years. Smith can be remembered to playing That 70’s Show’s Red Foreman, as well as the memorable role of Clarence Boddicker in the movie Robocop. 

Resurrection, which airs Monday nights at 10 on SkyCable’s Lifetime Channel, revolves around the people of Arcadia, Missouri, whose lives are changed forever when their deceased loved ones suddenly return.
