2014 Miss Manila candidates unveiled
MANILA, Philippines - The 30 Manileña beauties vying for the 2014 Miss Manila crown were presented to the members of media last June 9 at Diamond Hotel, with no less than Mayor Joseph “Erap†Ejercito Estrada in attendance.
The official candidates are: Katrina Grace Reyes, Lori Anne Mhei Lontoc, Nikki Udani, Queenie Bautista, Samantha Page Haire, Kayesha Clauden Chua, Julian Aurine Flores, Ruth Sabrina Linganay, Angelia Gabrena Ong, Alexandra Adbon, Agatha Lei Romero, Leona Paula Santicruz, Justine Felizarta, Mharyel Tapia, Allhia Charmaine Estores, Susanne Samantha Stefanowitz, Bernadette Paez, Princess Angela Abella, Alyssa Jasareno, Nina Ricci Manangan, Judy Chua, Shymain Macaso, Jennifer Ann Mangaring, Ana Catherine Louise Langitan, Krischelle Halili, Mary Monique Angelika Trinidad, Michelle Abcedre, Arielle Tumanut, Cheska Laurente and Shiela Mae Morales.
Pageant veterans include Abella, who was the 2011 Miss Resorts World Manila winner; Santicruz was a 2013 Bb. Pilipinas candidate and crowned 2012 Miss Cover Girl, 2010 Miss Aurora and 2009 Miss San Luis; Stefanowitz was 2013 Miss Campus Philippines winner; Flores was a 2014 Bb. Pilipinas semi-finalist; and Halili was a 2014 Bb. Pilipinas candidate.
It’s been more than a decade since the last search was held with April Tanhueco proclaimed as 2002 Miss Manila.
The grand coronation night will be held on Araw ng Maynila, June 24, 7 p.m. at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) to be presented by International Container Terminal Services, Inc. and co-presented by Lucky China Town.
The pageant is a joint project of Mayor Estrada and Viva Group of Companies big boss Vic del Rosario, with Jackie Ejercito-Lopez as co-chair and 1998 Bb. Pilipinas Universe Jewel May Lobaton as project consultant. The proceeds of the event will benefit the Dialysis Center of MARE Foundation, Inc., a non-profit institution chaired by former Sen. Loi Ejercito-Estrada.
