No wedding bells yet for Richard and Sarah

MANILA, Philippines - “It's in the horizon,” Richard Gutierrez when asked about settling down with girlfriend Sarah Lahbati.

The 30-year-old actor said they are not in a hurry to get married, especially since they've only just revealed their one-year-old son Zion to the public.

“For me kasi, one major life decision at a time,” Richard said in an interview with ABS-CBN's showbiz talk show “The Buzz” on Sunday, June 8.

He added, “I mean, sobrang blessing sa amin na dumating si baby Zion sa buhay namin. And then, ngayon pa lang namin siya nasha-share sa lahat ng tao, ngayon pa lang namin nae-enjoy having a baby.”

Richard revealed that he has a baby with Sarah during the pilot episode of the family reality show “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.”

Richard and Sarah became a couple in 2012.

Asked if he thinks Sarah is “the one,” Richard said: “I won't be spending my time with her if I feel like she's not the right person.”

However, he feels marriage “will come also at the right time.”

“For now, I think, it's very important also na... kakabalik pa lang niya (Sarah) sa work niya. We're doing a reality show. And we're enjoying our time having baby Zion. Doon muna kami naka-focus as of now,” he said. Everything will fall into fall.”

Meanwhile, Richard and Sarah showed their first-born to the public during the June 8 episode of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.”

The couple also posted photos for baby Zion on their Instagram accounts on Sunday, June 8.

“When she (Sarah) gave birth, it was such a joy. It was such a blessing. It was such a beautiful moment,” Richard said on the June 8 episode of “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez.”

He also said, “(Sarah) became such a strong woman, she became so determined, and I think it's because of what we went through together. And that bond of us now is really unbreakable.”

According to The STAR entertainment editor Ricky Lo, Zion will have a Lion-themed baptismal and birthday party on Saturday.
