This was in the mid-’70s when the Big Three agreed to join forces by selecting the film clips of their spectacular musicals and merging them to come up with Happy Days Are Here Again. Cirio H. Santiago of Premiere directed the compilation of film clips.
The Big Three project was inspired by MGM’s That’s Entertainment, a celebration of the studio’s musicals, the very best numbers gathered for two hours of pure, well, entertainment. —RKC
