MANILA, Philippines - What is it like to live through one of the biggest attacks in history?

It was the most memorable moment of the 20th century, defining the scientific, technological, military and political gamble of the world’s first atomic attack. In 1945, an American mission killed more than 200,000 lives and ended in a war.

Many have seen documentaries about Hiroshima but this takes you to the room where important decisions were made — from the Enola Gay, inside the bomb and to the streets of Hiroshima where catastrophe struck.

Stories from Japan and the US are also shown revealing the actions and minds behind the history unfolding. Special effects recreate the reality of the mission, taking the viewers on how the bomb was made to its horrific aftermath.
