Freddie Aguilar: Meagan should 'take responsibility of her own life'

MANILA, Philippines- Freddie Aguilar is saddened by daughter Meagan Aguilar's action to publicize their family problem.

In a statement  sent to “TV Patrol” aired Monday, Freddie said that “it is unfortunate that my daughter Meagan decided to take a private matter to the press.”

Meagan has talked to the media after she, her live in partner, six-month-old baby and three-year-old daughter were asked to leave Freddie's residence in Fairview, after they had a fight over rotten vegetables.

In an interview, Meagan said that “I can't help na nasisisi ko 'yong asawa niyang bata kasi mula ng maging sila tapos medyo ngayon, October lumabas 'yong balita, kinasal sila... parang gradually sumasama nang sumasama ugali ng tatay ko.”

Freddie also added 's statement that he wishes the his daughter becomes responsible for her own family.

“I have been supporting my 35-year-old daughter and her family for many years,” he said. “I wish Meagan all the best as she moves on and takes responsibility of her own life.”
