Jazz vocalist featured at the Serendipity Lounge

MANILA, Philippines - Jazz vocalist Tricia Rivka-Garcia (photo) livens up the Happy Hour sessions Wednesdays and Fridays at the Serendipity Lounge of Discovery Suites.

Touted as one of the most exciting emerging artists, Tricia bagged the Awit Award for Best Jazz Recording Artist in 2012.

Her music is influenced by jazz era of the ’40s. With a repertoire of standard and classic hits, Tricia enjoys giving old songs a new feel by keeping the music light with a hint of edginess. One of the most requested songs in her album is her version of the OPM hit Ako’y Sa Yo at Akin Lamang. She also recorded the ‘70s hit Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Ko together with Gloc-9. Tricia has also shared the stage with international artists like China Crisis, Wild Swans and Lenka.

The show is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The musical line-up includes As Time Goes By, Body and Soul, One Note Samba, Night and Day, Girl From Ipanema and Cry Me River.
