Trail running series kicks off May 25

MANILA, Philippines - The NTDR III Trilogy Championship kicks off the first leg of the trilogy trail running race series on May 25. Held annually in Tanay, Rizal, NTDR is short for Nature’s Trail Discovery Run, the premier trail running event that has produced elite trail runners since 2012. Average runners have developed into competitive runners in the last two years of joining the event prompting the organizer, Pimco Sporting Events Co., to assemble a team that will carry the Philippine colors in competitions abroad. Out of the NDTR champions, Pimco-Tanay Philippines Trail Running Team was formed last January.

The Team Pimco-Tanay PH participated in the MSIG Sai Kung HK50k series last March. There members are Manolito Divina, who placed seventh in the 50k Ultra Trail category; Juniery Villalon, seventh place in the 26k category; team captain Alvin Balderama, who participated in the 50k and finished 23rd; and Alexandria Ahongon, the lone female member of the team.

With the performance of Team Pimco-Tanay PH, the bar is up for the NTDR III Trilogy Championship. The categories are Advanced 10k, Seasoned 21k and Masters 50k Ultra Trail. For details, visit www.pimcosportingevents.net or www.facebook.com/PimcoSportsEvents. Registration is still ongoing.
