WATCH: Chito Miranda’s proposal to Neri Naig

MANILA, Philippines- Chito Miranda is now engaged to girlfriend Neri Naig.

The video of the proposal was uploaded by Chito on his YouTube Account on Wednesday, May 14.

The Parokya ni Edgar vocalist came up with a story that Neri was invited by the band Typcast to star in their latest music video, which will be shot at Angelfields Nature Sanctuary in Tagaytay City.

While Neri was having the mock shoot in the morning, Chito was busy preparing for his proposal. Night came and Neri was told that she’ll shoot one last scene.

She was supposed to walk going to a big projector. When she looked up, a video started playing, starting with the phrase “Ako na siguro ang pinakasuwerteng lalaki sa buong Cavite.”

After a short pause, Neri looked behind her back but didn't notice Chito walking towards her. As the clips of their pictures play on screen, Chito hugged Neri and the two became emotional.

Then another phrase came out of the screen saying, “Dahil mapapangasawa ko ang pinakamagandang babae sa Eastwood... kung papayag siya.”

Chito then kneeled in front of Neri, took her left hand and kissed it while crying. He then said, “I love you very much baby. Ang sasabihin ko lang talaga, will you marry me baby?”

Neri replied, “Of course, yes!”

Chito and Neri, who have been together since 2011, were involved in a sex video scandal last year. In an interview December of last year, the Parokya ni Edgar front man admitted of his plans to marry Neri.
