Marjorie tells kids, 'I will protect you with all my might'

MANILA, Philippines - “I promise to be the best Mom in the world for all of you.”

Thus said Marjorie Barretto in a message to her children as posted on her Instagram account on Monday, May 12.

The message—which was addressed to her four kids, namely Leon, Daniella, Claudia, and ABS-CBN young actress Julia—was posted just a few hours after ABS-CBN showbiz talk show “Buzz ng Bayan” aired an interview with Claudine Barretto.

“My children..I promise to be the best Mom in the world for all of you, I will protect you with all my might, and I will never speak ill of any one of you no matter what. I will never do anything to cause division in our family, I will only promote peace when there will be misunderstandings. I will love each of you equally and unconditionally. Thank you Lord for my children... My life,” Marjorie said on her Instagram account, accompanied by a photo of her and her four children.

Marjorie's message to her children also came a few hours after their mother Inday Barretto's interview with GMA-7's showbiz talk show “Startalk.”

The interview accompanied “Startalk's” own interview with Claudine.

“Marjorie, you are lost. You know there is a place you can come home to any time. Find your way there before it's too late,” Inday said in her interview with “Startalk” aired Sunday, May 11.

In her “Buzz ng Bayan” interview, Claudine said Marjorie prevented her from seeing her nieces “na pinalaki ko.” But Marjorie denied Claudine's allegations in a statement.

“Claudine, you never borrowed my children. You never even tried or called them. I never deprived you of seeing my children. Never. Please don’t claim to love my children when not too long ago, you tried to hard to destroy them,” it read as aired on “Buzz ng Bayan.”
