Kapuso stars’ summer destination

MANILA, Philippines - Now that summer has officially started, everyone surely wants to enjoy this season, including our Ka- puso stars. Many of them plan to go to the beach to do the usual activities such as swimming, wakeboarding, or surfing. Meanwhile, others will

go out of the country to unwind and relax from their hectic work sched- ules. Though they may have already visited most of the tourist spots inside and outside of the country, there are certain places that they still dream of visiting and exploring one day. Our favorite Kapuso artists and news per- sonalities share their dream summer destinations they wish to visit some- day with their loved ones and friends.

Dennis Trillo: I want to go to Am- sterdam. I want to visit my relatives in Holland.

Rochelle Pangilinan: I want to go to Maldives or Hawaii. Both of these places are like paradise, perfect places to relax and enjoy a comfortable vacation.

Max Collins: Maldives because it looks so beautiful... my ultimate idea of paradise.

Gabby Eigenmann: I want to go to Maldives and Bora Bora to spend some quiet time with my family. Also, I want to visit Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with my friends.

LJ Reyes: My dream summer vaca- tion is a trip to Palawan. I used to dream of exploring the shores of foreign coun- tries, but a lot have attested that nothing beats our own shores.

Carl Guevara: Brazil because of the awesome parties and many beautiful faces.

Aljur Abrenica: Brazil. I’m curious about their culture and one thing din na nagpa-influence sa akin na puntahan ang Brazil is the movie Fast & Furious 6.

Mikael Daez: In the Philippines, I’d love to visit Calaguas Islands. Beautiful in the pictures and I heard the area is still very fresh and uncom- mercialized and I really want to see that. Outside of Philippines, Sri Lanka. I heard there are beautiful beaches to visit there.

Rafael Rosell: For an awesome surf vacation — Bali or Hawaii. For a regular beach outing, maybe Amanpulo.

Jessa Zaragoza: I would love to visit the island paradise of Amanpulo in Palawan. It’s one of the world’s most beautiful summer destinations, plus it has the right amount of privacy that can give me the right amount of recreation and relaxation that I need. It’s the perfect getaway place for me and my hubby.

Paolo Contis: I want to go to Bora Bora Island in French Polynesia.

Janine Gutierrez: Dream summer destination ko ay Maldives!

Bettina Carlos: Maldives. Other than the fact that I love the beach and basking in the summer sun, I like the fact that in Maldives, I’m just six feet above the water.

Jackie Rice: Santorini, Greece. I heard that it’s a very romantic place and I also want to see more of its culture and breathtaking sceneries. Also Bahamas, specifically its crystal-clear ocean where you can swim with the fish, sharks, whales and stingrays.

Mariz Umali: Europe! (My hus- band) Raffy (Tima) and I were actually assigned to cover the canonization of Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII. This is also a perfect way to start our vacation — through some sort of a “spiritual retreat,” especially since this has always been my dream coverage. After which, we will tour Italy, France and hopefully, UK, too.

Maey Bautista: Swim with the bu- tanding in Donsol, Sorsogon, though I’ve done it for GMA News TV’s Ang Pinaka. I also dream of going to Tubbataha Reef and Amanpulo.

Mike Tan: Japan! I want to go to a Ninja school and eat lots of ramen.

Yasmien Kurdi: Seychelles or Mal- dives because I’ve seen my husband’s photos when he visited those places and they looked really beautiful and relaxing to go to.

Sarah Lahbati: I’ve toured Europe so many times but I’ve never been to Santorini, Greece. I want to go there and just swim, tan and relax. It seems like it’s such a romantic place, too.

Luis Alandy: My dream summer des- tination would be in Santorini in Greece. Based on what I’ve researched, it is the most beautiful place to spend a getaway.

Frencheska Farr: Greece, Egypt and UK.

Steven Silva: I went to Brazil during the summer and experienced how the culture and the beaches during summer months there.

Kevin Santos: Four Seasons Hotel in Thailand.

Phytos Ramirez: My dream summer destination is Greece because the beach there is so beautiful.

Mikoy Morales: A lot. But I’d go for Tali. I’ve been wanting to go cliff-diving for quite some time now.

Teejay Marquez: I want to go to Tokyo. I would like to try the Tokyo fashion in- stead of the boardshorts at the beach.

Betong: Jerusalem. Para doon mag- pilgrimage with my family.

Ken Chan: Europe. Paris and Rome in particular because I want to explore and have a look at the famous Mona Lisa (painting), the Eiffel

Tower, the most beautiful architecture, the art at- tractions in Paris and some historical and sacred churches in Rome. I would love to spend time in those places with my family.

Joanna Marie Tan : I really want to go to Pala- wan. Gusto ko mag-snorkeling doon and experience to swim with the fishes. Marami din kasing nagsasabi na sobrang ganda ng mga coral reefs sa Palawan kaya sana talaga makapunta ako someday.

Diva Montelaba: Paris or Brazil. It’s been a dream of mine to go to those places ever since I was a kid.
