JC Regino releases debut EP

MANILA, Philippines - From watching his dad April Boy Regino doing sold-out shows and big concerts, it’s now his turn to show that “like father, like son” rings true. JC is finally taking things on his own with a new self-titled EP.

Seeing his father living the dream, JC tried to write his first song at 14 and asked his hitmaker father for some pointers. “He didn’t like it,” quips the 23-year-old singer-songwriter. That first attempt made JC more determined to impress his greatest critic, finishing Hanggang Sa Dulo Ng Aking Buhay and Di Na Ako Iibig Pang Muli, both of which are included in their father-son album Idolstar in 2010.

When the Regino family decided to move to the US, JC became April Boy’s guest act during his performances all over America.

His all-original album under MCA Music is like a homage to his father, who supported and believed in him since Day One.

JC’s EP features songs  by Vehnee Saturno and Lito Camo.

JC Regino is now out in CDs at Astroplus and Odyssey branches and in digital downloads via spinnr.ph and iTunes.
