Mars Miranda, Taken by Cars team up for summer soundtrack

MANILA, Philippines- What will happened if EMD and indie rock artists collaborate for a single?

Globe Tatoo has seen the fun and unique music that this could be so they tapped their latest ambassador DJ Mars Miranda and the indie rock band Taken by Cars to put them on a challenge: to collaborate and in 24 hours create the perfect “summer soundtrack.”

“I thought it was crazy!” Miranda gushed. “They asked us to make a song in a day, it came as a shock.”

It may seem hard since they both have different commitments to attend to and their different music genres. But thanks to the good internet connection, they were able to communicate and exchange ideas for this collaboration.

“When it comes to the creative process, the internet is really crucial for us to be connected to the inspiration and a means for us to communicate with each other,” Sarah, Taken by Cars vocalist said.

After 24 hours, these two artists didn’t disappoint as they came up with the track titled “First and Second Time.”

“I think we defied expectations in this project,” Miranda said. “First of all, we did it in 24 hours. Secondly, we were able to put something that’s unique to us and something that people didn’t expect to hear from neither one of us.”
