Yasmien Kurdi has cyst on her vocal chords

 MANILA, Philippines- Yasmien Kurdi has a cyst on her vocal chords.

The Kapuso actress found out about it early this year, Kata Tibayan reported on “24 Oras” Monday night.

After performing at the Kapuso New Year's Countdown this 2014, Yasmien started losing of her voice.

“Konting sigaw ko lang, konting salita ko like... paos na 'ko,” she said.

Her doctor advised her to undergo an operation, but there is no assurance that she will regain her voice.

Still, the Kapuso actress is not entertaining  the idea of leaving showbiz, especially now that her career is doing good.

After her comeback in 2010, Yasmien was given  a series of projects, including  â€œGrazilda,” “Amaya,” “Legacy,” “Anna Karenina,” and the currently running “Rhodora X.”

She also thanks  her family, friends, and fans who continue to support and inspire her despite her condition.

“Sabi nga ng family ko, 'kaya 'yan!' They're very positive na malalagpasan ko rin 'to.”
