MANILA, Philippines – Is TV5 actor Derek Ramsay the new love in Kris Aquino's life?

On her official Instagram account on Tuesday, Kris thanked Derek for being there for her to “lean on and count on.”

“It was a hard day for both of us, you had your personal issues & so did I... But you were there for me & I was grateful you gave me the chance to be there for you... I said it before, super cute na may coffee pa. And now we can add chocolate marble & French Fries to that list,” she said.

The “Kris TV” host added, “THANK YOU because God must love me to give me someone like you to lean on & count on. Bahala na kayo sa interpretation but @ramsayderek11 deserves a shout out. THANK YOU!”

The messages come with photo quotation that says:

In a previous post, the 43-year-old TV host-actress said: “All in God's perfect time.”

Since Kris' post did not elaborate as to why she gave Derek the Instagram “shout out,” netizen immediately speculated that the two may be dating.

"Ayun naman girls. Mas maganda talaga si Kris Aquino kaysa sa inyong lahat. Kris x Derek forever! Love love love," said one Twitter user said.

Reactions of netizen are mixed; some want Kris and Derek to end up together, while others do not think the two are a good match.

"Woke up with the headlines that Kris Aquino is dating Derek Ramsay. Oh come on! You can do better," a Twitter user said.

"I want Derek Ramsay to date Kris Aquino. Seriously, I wanna see them together, they'll make a good a cute couple." said another.

Kris has been hinting that she is currently dating someone, although she chooses to remain mum about the identity of her new love. Previous reports say Kris is dating a politician.

According to reports, Kris and Derek are long-time friends. Kris even recently posted a photo of herself with Derek's father on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Derek, who was with ABS-CBN before moving to TV5 in 2012, had recently dated Cristine Reyes and was in a long-term relationship with Angelica Panganiban.
