Andrea Brillantes happy about 'Annaliza'; will do new series with Piolo Pascual

MANILA, Philippines - ABS-CBN teleserye â€œAnnaliza”, which stars the  child actress and “tween princess” Andrea Brillantes is on its last week. 

This is the first starring role of Andrea, and she is happy about the success of her show.

“Siyempre po masaya po ako,” she said about her show's success, in an interview Saturday afternoon, March 15. “Kasi unang-una ko po na show, naging bida po ako tapos successful agad. Masaya rin po kasi umabot kami ng 10 months. Masaya po talaga ako.”

Aside from being a drama show, “Annaliza” also sought to inspire kids. Andrea said she also learned a lot while playing Annaliza.

“Ang natutunan ko po sa kanya na 'wag po magi-give up basta-basta,” she replied when asked about the lessons she learned from her character.

“Dapat lagi maging mabait sa kapwa, at saka kahit po gawan ka nang masama 'wag ka po papatol kasi sabi nga nila, 'vengeance is not ours, it's God's.' At saka nalaman ko sa kanya na laging mag-aral nang mabuti, kahit mahirap ang buhay lagi dapat nakangiti, at 'yon dapat maging mapagmahal sa lahat.”

Future Plans for Andrea

Meanwhile, after “Annaliza,” a new project is lined up for Andrea. She'll be part of the upcoming TV series “Hawak Kamay” which stars Piolo Pascual and Iza Calzado.

Though she won't play a lead role here, ABS-CBN Business Unit Head direct Ruel Bayani said  this is one strategy which will help Andrea grow as an actress and to be honed as a future “teleserye princess.”

“The show Hawak Kamay is a joint project by my team and Raymond Dizon's unit, dalawa kami,” Bayani explained. “Kasi siyempre ang vision natin is magabayan si Andrea hanggang nagdadalaga. Gano'n din naman ang ginawa namin noong pinalaki namin sila Angelica [Panganiban], sila Bea [Alozo].

“Para kasi ma-develop sila  as teleserye princesses, kailangan ingatan ang transition nila in from show to show para hindi maging pareho ang nakikita ng mga tao and at the same time nagagabayan mo, napoprotektahan mo, and hopefully they grow beautiful and successful actresses.”

Andrea hopes the same for her career, also her birthday wish as she celebrated her 11th birthday on Saturday.
 

"Sana maging mas successful po 'yong career ko. Mas dumami pa yung nagmamahal sa akin. Sana po maging mas sikat ako at sana magkaro'n ako ng mas maraming projects,” she said when asked about her birthday wish.

The final airing of “Annaliza” will be on Friday, March 21, before “TV Patrol.”
