Ai-Ai delas Alas: ‘Hindi kami galit ni Kris’

Chuck Smith - The Philippine Star
MANILA, Philippines – “Hindi kami galit, hindi kami galit,” Ai-Ai delas Alas said when asked about her friendship with Kris Aquino during the press conference of the upcoming ABS-CBN fantasy series “Dyesebel.”

It was earlier rumored that Ai-Ai and Kris have an ongoing rift. This was reportedly after the actress-TV host was not able to attend the wake of Ai-Ai’s biological mother late last year.

The two are known to be close friends and even starred together in the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival movie “Sisterakas.”

Pressed by the entertainment media for details, Ai-Ai said: “About Kris, huwag na natin siya pag-usapan.”

“Unang-una, hindi naman siya kasali dito. And wala yun, nagkataon lang… akala lang nila yun,” she added.

Ai-Ai further said: “Huwag n’yo na (ako) tanungin about Kris kasi lumalaki lang. Alam n’yo yung lumalaki lang ng walang kwenta? Huwag na. Tahimik na lang kaming dalawa.”

Ai-Ai is part of “Dyesebel” which stars Anne Curtis, Gerald Anderson, and Sam Milby. It will premiere on Monday, March 17.

The 49-year-old actress said she has moved from her separation with former husband Jed Salang.

“Naka move-on na ako. One year na rin sa May na hiwalay ako. Na-divorce na rin ako. Siguro I need to move on,” Ai-Ai said, adding she currently enjoys being single. “Masarap, wala kang stress, di ba?”

“Alam mo kasi, ang single blessedness, kailangan maging masaya ka muna alone, e. Kasi kapag meron kang partner at may problema ka, malaking problema yun. Mabuti na yung single ka na masaya ka kasya na may partner ka pero may problema ka,” she further explained.
