Vhong’s emotional return

MANILA, Philippines - Vhong Navarro made an emotional return to ABS-CBN’s It’s Showtime this week, thanking the noontime program’s madlang people for their prayers and support, over a month after his brutal mauling incident in January.

Many viewers nationwide tuned in to his return that It’s Showtime recorded a national TV rating of 20.3 percent, according to data from Kantar Media.

Netizens also warmly welcomed Vhong back as they posted their thoughts on social networking sites.

“I want to personally thank all of you for defending me, believing in me and praying for me,” a tearful Vhong said.

“You are the reason why I remain strong, why I’m here in front of you now, and why I love working.”
