Deo Gratias! slated March 8 at EDSA Shrine

MANILA, Philippines - The Metropolitan Theatre Chorus, under the musical direction of Dr. Myrna Ascutia Lopez, will be giving a free concert titled Deo Gratias! tomorrow, March 8 at 8 p.m. at the EDSA Shrine Chapel, Ortigas Ave., Quezon City.

The Met Chorus was organized by the Metropolitan Theatre in Manila as official choral group. Met Chorus performed for the Metropolitan Theatre’s productions like Gomburza, Sarungbanggi, Dahil sa Iyo, Ginintuang Alaala, to name a few. This will be its first time to perform since the Manila Metropolitan Theatre in Lawton, Manila closed its doors to the music-loving public 26 years ago. Listen to the music of our great Filipino composers — Lucio San Pedro, Alfredo Buenaventura and Ruben Federizon — in an evening of kundiman songs, regional, patriotic and novelty songs.
